Ingredients

1 1/2 c. margarine/butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. lemon extract
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. finely chopped almonds
1 (14 oz.) pkg. candy kisses
powdered sugar
1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

In large bowl, beat margarine, sugar and lemon extract until light and fluffy.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off.
Gradually add flour and almonds; mix well.
Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least an hour for easier handling.
