Colonial Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry jello
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped celery
2 c. cranberries
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cubed
1 c. chopped apples
Preparation

Combine 1 cup water, sugar and cranberries in a saucepan; bring just to boil.
Remove from heat; cover and let cool for 5 minutes.
Combine 1 cup boiling water and jello; stir until dissolved.
Add 1 cup cold water, cranberry mixture and lemon juice; chill until partially congealed.
Fold in remaining ingredients; chill until firm.
