Pecan Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/3 c. granulated sugar
    2 tsp. water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add water and vanilla.
    Mix well. Blend in flour and nuts.
    Chill 4 hours.
    Shape into balls; mash slightly.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 325\u00b0. Cool slightly.
    Roll in powdered sugar.
    Makes 3 dozen.
