Louisiana Banana Nut Cake(An Old-Time Favorite From My Mother'S Kitchen) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. ripe bananas, mashed
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift the flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar together in a large mixer bowl, then add the shortening, buttermilk and vanilla.
Beat for 4 minutes at medium speed.
Add the bananas, eggs and nuts.
Beat another 4 minutes.
