Apricot Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped dried apricots
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 c. orange juice
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Soak apricots in 1 cup of warm water for 20 minutes.
    Cream together 1 cup sugar, shortening and egg.
    Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and orange juice.
    Add flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Mix well.
    Drain and stir in apricots.
    Add nuts.
    Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 60 to 65 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes in pan.
