Squash And Apple Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 lb. acorn squash
    2 medium cooking apples
    lemon juice
    dash of ground cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. low or reduced calorie pancake syrup
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut squash into 1/2-inch thick round slices.
    Core apples.
    Cut into 1/2-inch thick slices.
    Brush apples with lemon juice to prevent browning.
    In a 1-quart casserole dish, layer squash and apples.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon (2 tablespoons of raisins can be added, if desired).
    Bake covered at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until squash is tender.
    Before serving, drizzle with the 2 tablespoons syrup.
    Makes 4 servings.
