Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
6 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add salt and eggs; mix well.
Add vanilla and stir.
Add nutmeg, flour and baking powder.
Mix until well blended.
Put half on floured board at a time and roll about 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with donut cutter and drop in hot shortening.
Brown lightly on both sides.
Drain on paper towels in long pan or dish.
