Italian Easter Bread - cooking recipe

7 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. anise seed
6 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. sherry or white wine
2 pkg. yeast
1/2 c. warm water
Preparation

In a large pot, mix dry ingredients together.
Form a well in center and add eggs and oil.
Mix yeast and warm water; let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.
Add yeast to well.
Knead until dough is firm.
Place on cookie sheet covered with a clean, dry towel to rise (approximately 8 hours).
Bless dough and bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
Makes 2 to 3 loaves according to size.
