Creole Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. diced green peppers
    1 Tbsp. bacon fat
    1 1/2 c. okra
    3/4 c. corn
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook onion and green pepper in hot fat until onion is golden, stirring frequently.
    Add okra.
    Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes.
    Serves 4.
