Ingredients

1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. dark molasses
1 c. margarine
4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. cold coffee
2 eggs
Preparation

Put in a large saucepan the sugar and molasses; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Add margarine; stir until melted.
Let cool.
Sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Dissolve baking soda in cold coffee.
Beat eggs; mix all the ingredients together.
Let stand in refrigerator overnight. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
