Mom Keehn'S Homemade Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried baby limas
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. dried onion
    2/3 lb. light brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. prepared French mustard (leveled)
    bacon slices
Preparation
    Pick over dried beans to remove stones and soak in cold water overnight or at least a few hours.
    This cuts cooking time.
    Drain and cover with fresh water.
    Add salt and dried onion and boil slowly (careful they don't boil dry).
    Taste one in about 1/2 hour and each 10 minutes thereafter until bean is just tender, but not mushy.
    Water should be boiled to about 2/3.
