Ingredients

1/3 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and egg.
Sift flour, salt, nutmeg and baking powder.
Add flour mixture, alternately with the milk to the sugar and shortening.
Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
Immediately when done, dip in 1/2 cup melted butter and roll in 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon mixture.
