Sue'S Oyster Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 medium potatoes, diced
    2 carrots, sliced thin
    1 to 2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 qt. half and half
    small to medium onion, chopped
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 pt. shucked oysters and their liquid
    parsley (optional)
    ground pepper
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and carrots (steaming them is best, using a microwave to do this is the fastest way).
    Saute onions and celery in butter in pan.
    Strain potatoes and carrots and add to pan. Add milk and ground pepper.
    Heat to boiling point.
    Add oysters. (Note:
    Oysters cook very quickly, so do not add them until you are ready to serve or turn the burner off after you add them.)
