Southwestern-Style Burgers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 beaten egg
1/4 c. crushed tortillas
3 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
3/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 lb. ground chicken (raw)
1 avocado, halved, seeded, peeled and sliced
4 oz. Monterey Jack cheese, sliced
4 kaiser rolls or hamburger buns, split
lettuce leaves
salsa
Preparation

In a medium bowl, combine egg, chips, green pepper, chili powder, salt and pepper.
Add chicken; mix well.
Shape into four 3/4-inch thick patties.
Grill on an uncovered grill.
Place patties directly over medium-hot coals; cook 15 to 18 minutes or until no longer pink, turning once.
Top each patty with avocado slices and cheese.
Grill 1 to 2 minutes more or until cheese is melted.
To serve, place 1 lettuce leaf on bottom half of bun.
Top with cooked patty and salsa.
