Mystery Cake(1935 Date On Marie Wilson'S Copy Of Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
grated rind of 1/2 orange or 1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 1/2 sq. or 1 1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate

Preparation

Cream shortening; add sugar and grated orange rind.
Add beaten eggs, flour and etc.
Bake in moderate oven until done.
