Frankfurters Monterey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. pkg. egg noodles
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    3 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 lemon
    1 lb. frankfurters
Preparation
    Cook noodles according to package directions.
    Drain.
    Set aside.
    Saute onion and pepper in oil until tender.
    Add Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, seasonings, juice of lemon and a thin strip of lemon rind.
    Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Remove lemon rind.
    Arrange franks over noodles in a large greased casserole dish and pour sauce over.
    Bake uncovered in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
    Makes about six servings.
