Mother'S Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water or milk
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    2 Tbsp. flour
    pinch of salt
    1 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    5 Tbsp. lemon juice or to suit taste
    large size piece butter
Preparation
    Boil milk.
    Mix cornstarch and flour with sugar; then add 1/2 cup additional cold water and mix until smooth.
    Beat egg yolks and add to flour mixture; then add to boiling milk, stirring all the while.
    Place on stove and cook until it boils and becomes thick.
    Add lemon juice and butter; pour into baked shell.
    Cover with meringue made from egg whites and sugar.
    Brown in oven.
