Pasta With Asparagus - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. asparagus
    6 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. finely sliced mushrooms
    1 lb. pasta
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 c. light cream
    3/4 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper (freshly ground)
    8 black olives, pitted and sliced
    1/2 c. finely sliced ham
Preparation
    Peel and roll; cut asparagus into 1 to 1 1/2-inch pieces. Melt 2 tablespoons butter and lightly saute ham and mushrooms; set aside.
    Blanch asparagus in salted water until just cooked, 4 to 5 minutes or less.
    Scoop out asparagus and save the water.
    Add more water, if necessary and cook the pasta until al dente; drain. Heat 4 tablespoons butter and olive oil; add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
    Stir in the cream and cheese and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
    Add asparagus, ham, mushrooms and olives; cook for a moment.
    Pour over pasta; toss to coat.
