Caramels - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2 c. cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. corn syrup
1 c. butter
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Boil sugar, corn syrup, butter and half of the cream.
Stir in remaining cream while candy is boiling.
When candy forms a firm ball in cold water, add vanilla and nuts.
Put in buttered pan. When cool, cut into small squares.
