Green Tomato Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. green tomatoes, chopped and drained
    4 lb. apples, cored and chopped
    4 lb. sugar
    1 lb. raisins, coarsely chopped
    1/2 lb. citron, chopped
    1/2 lb. beef suet (fat), ground (may substitute 1/4 to 1/2 c. corn oil)
    1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 Tbsp. salt
    dash of brandy or rum (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Simmer 2 hours.
    Age at least one month in refrigerator or cool dark place.
    Will keep several months.
