Ingredients

3/4 c. butter
3 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
3 c. flour
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
4 egg whites
Preparation

Cream butter with 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.
Add beaten egg yolks, sift flour and baking powder together.
Add vanilla to milk.
Add flour mixture to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
Fold in 4 stiffly beaten egg whites.
Divide into 3 greased cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
