French Market Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    dry bean mix (1/4 c. each)*
    thyme
    1 green pepper
    6 stalks celery
    salt and pepper to taste
    several pieces boneless chicken breast
    handful chopped parsley
    water
    1 tsp. salt
    medium ham hock
    1 bay leaf
    1 qt. tomatoes
    2 medium onions
    2 cloves garlic
    1/2 to 1 lb. sliced smoked sausage
Preparation
    *Black beans, red beans, navy beans, garbanzos, pinto beans, baby lima beans, lentils, barley, split peas and black-eyed peas.
