Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. packed light brown sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat.
    Stir in brown sugar until blended; let cool. Stir in egg.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in bowl. Add to mixture.
    Stir in vanilla and walnuts.
    Spread in well-greased 9-inch square glass baking dish.
    Bake for 25 minutes or until tests done.
