Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. quick oatmeal
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix boiling water and oatmeal.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs one at a time, beat.
    Sift flour, measure, resift with soda, salt and cinnamon.
    Add oatmeal last. Bake in 9 x 13-inch pan at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
