Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter or other shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation

Cream butter; add sugar gradually creaming thoroughly.
Add eggs, nuts and vanilla and beat well.
Add flour gradually, mixing thoroughly.
Shape into rolls and wrap in wax paper.
Chill overnight.
