Pickled Fish(Herring Taste) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pickling salt
    1 qt. water
    1 c. white sugar
    2 c. white vinegar
    sliced onions
    fillet and skinned fish
    white vinegar (for second soaking)
    1/2 tsp. whole pickling spices
    1 c. sweet Port wine
Preparation
    You may use suckers, Northern or crappies for this recipe.
