Jambalaya - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. smoked sausage
2 stems celery
1 parsley, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 c. rice
1 can whole tomatoes
1 Tbsp. butter
3 heaping tsp. chili powder
pinch of red pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
1 can beef broth
Preparation

Saute onion, celery and garlic in butter until tender.
Wash rice thoroughly until water is clear.
Add rice, tomatoes, parsley, seasonings and beef broth to vegetables.
Simmer about 40 minutes. Cube smoked sausage and fry it in a saucepan until brown. Drain.
Add sausage to rice mixture and simmer for another 20 minutes (add water during cooking time if mixture becomes too dry).
Serves 6.
