Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
2 c. oats
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Into
a large bowl, sift the flour, soda, baking powder and oats.
Cream the shortening and sugar well.
Add eggs and vanilla. Gradually\tadd
dry ingredients.
Mix until crumbly, then\tadd chips
and\tnuts.
Form
into walnut size balls and place
on
an oiled baking sheet.
Wet a flat bottom glass and dip into sugar. Flatten out each cookie with the glass.
Bake at
350\u00b0
for
10 minutes or until slightly browned.\tCool on sheet, then slip off rack.
