Danish Pastry Apple Bars (Streusel) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
1 egg yolk
1 c. corn flakes or any flaky cereal
8 to 10 tart apples, pared and sliced
2/3 c. milk
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg white
1 c. powdered sugar
3 to 4 tsp. milk
Preparation

Combine flour and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Beat egg yolk and mix in 2/3 cup milk.
Stir into flour mixture.
On floured surface, roll out half of dough to fit into 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with cereal and top with apples.
Mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of apples.
