Stove Top Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rice
    1 can evaporated milk
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook rice with just enough water to cover.
    Cook until tender and all water is gone (watch carefully).
    Add milk and bring almost to boiling.
    Beat eggs.
    Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and sugar to hot mixture.
    Pour a small amount a little at a time into the beaten eggs.
    Add egg mixture to milk mixture and continue to heat until it just comes to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla.
