Barbecued Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. tomato juice
    1 tsp. pepper
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. powdered mustard
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    4 1/2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    4 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 bay leaf
    1 small onion, chopped fine
    dash of garlic salt
    1/4 c. catsup (if desired)
    1 fryer or equal selected pieces
Preparation
    Combine ingredients and heat for 10 minutes. While sauce is heating, prepare fryer as though frying (salt, dredge and brown in small amount of fat).
    Pour sauce over chicken. Cover and cook on top of range or uncovered in oven at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    Turn chicken several times during cooking.
