Ingredients

2/3 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/4 c. Hershey cocoa
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Blend Crisco and brown sugar.
Add water, vanilla and eggs. Blend cocoa and flour together and add to mixture.
Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Spoon mixture onto greased cookie sheet (a 1/2 ounce scoop of mixture makes a good size cookie).
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
