English Summer Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1\\2 lb. Blackberries
    4 oz. Sugar
    1\\2 inch thick slices of stale bread, crusts cut off
Preparation
    Stew fruit, sugar and a little bit of water for a few minutes. Line a greased 1 1\\2 pint basin with bread. Pour in fruit and cover with more bread. Cover with weighted plate to compress. Leave until next day. Turn out and serve with cream.
