Soft Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. molasses
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    6 c. flour
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over shortening and molasses.
    Add next 6 ingredients.
    Roll 1/4 inch thick.
    Cut out.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 to 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Dough rolls easier if refrigerated for several hours.
