White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
    3 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add milk, stiffly beaten egg whites, vanilla and flour; mix well.
    Pour into cake pans and bake at 350\u00b0 about 25 to 30 minutes.
