Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white Karo corn syrup
    1 c. peanuts
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In a 1 1/2-quart casserole with cover, stir together sugar and corn syrup.
    Microwave on High for 4 minutes.
    Stir in peanuts; mix well and microwave 3 to 5 minutes on High.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Microwave on High 2 minutes.
    Add 1 teaspoon baking soda and gently stir until light and foamy.
    Pour in lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Spread thin and cool.
    Break into small pieces.
