Homemade Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 cooking apples, pared, cored and chopped
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
    1/4 c. nutmeg
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and cook until apples are mushy. Mash!
    Makes about 3 cups.
    Can be put in sterilized jars.
