Brown Sugar Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Put brown sugar and water on stove and boil until it spins a thread, then add the syrup slowly to well beaten egg whites.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Add vanilla.
    Spread on cake and cover with chopped nuts if desired.
