German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. salad potatoes
    1/2 lb. bacon, diced and fried
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    5 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. vinegar
    4 c. water
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. diced onion
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Boil potatoes until tender; do not overcook.
    Peel, slice and salt potatoes as you layer them.
    Fry bacon.
    Add flour, then vinegar, sugar, water, salt, onion and butter.
    Boil until thickened.
    Pour over potato slices.
