Aunt Eliza'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 eggs
1 1/4 c. sweet milk
1 1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Have all ingredients at room temperature.
Cream sugar and Crisco.
Add one egg at a time to creamed mixture; mix well.
Add vanilla to milk.
Sift all dry ingredients together.
Add half to mixture with half of the milk; blend well.
Add rest of flour mixture and milk; mix well.
Bake in preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours.
Test center for doneness with toothpick.
