Date And Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. butter
1 egg
1 box chopped dates (1/2 lb.)
1 pinch of salt
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda

Preparation

Pour water over dates.
Let stand until rest is ready.
Mix sugar, butter, eggs, salt, flour and soda, then add dates.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes or longer in a 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan.
