Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sweet potatoes, cooked
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1/2 to 3/4 c. water
Preparation
    Remove peels from cooked sweet potatoes.
    Cut potatoes in half lengthwise.
    Melt the butter or oleo in a large frying pan.
    Add sugar and stir until it melts. Add water and bring to a boil.
    Lay sweet potatoes in syrup and cook slowly, turning slices so both sides brown evenly.
