Pepper Jelly - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. ground hot peppers
    1/2 c. ground green peppers
    1 (6 oz.) bottle liquid fruit pectin
    20 drops green food coloring (optional)
Preparation
    Mix sugar and vinegar in saucepan.
    Add peppers and bring to a boil.
    Turn off unit and let mixture cool for 5 minutes.
    Add liquid pectin and food coloring.
    Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
    Invert for 30 seconds to one minute.
    Makes 3 pints.
