Bible Soup (Lentil)(Genesis 25:34) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. lentils
6 c. water
2 carrots, chopped or sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 1/2 c. tomato juice
1/2 c. minced parsley
1 Tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
Preparation

Combine in kettle lentils and water.
Cook 30 minutes or until lentils are tender.
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer just until carrots are tender.
Check seasonings and serve.
Serves 6. Recipe can be doubled and freezes well.
