Martha Pippens' Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    pinch of salt
    1 pkg. wild strawberry Jell-O
    fresh strawberries
    1 container Cool Whip
    1 pie crust, cooked
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch, water and salt.
    Cook mixture, bringing to a boil.
    Mixture will bubble and should be cooked until mixture thickens.
    Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
    Mixture becomes clear.
    When thickened, add 3 tablespoons wild strawberry jello.
    Stir.
    Let cool.
    Cut strawberries into pie crust (may use whole berries) and then pour sauce over strawberries.
    Add Cool Whip on top.
    Decorate top with strawberries.
    Refrigerate.
