Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sauerkraut, drain and chop (reserving liquid)
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 c. carrot, sliced or chopped
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    sauerkraut liquid
Preparation
    Combine in saucepan and boil on medium heat.
    Remove from heat and pour over vegetable mixture.
    Mix well and store, covered, in refrigerator overnight.
    Makes 2-quarts.
