Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. soft shortening (part butter)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
Preparation
    Mix thoroughly the first 5 ingredients.
    Sift and stir in flour, soda and salt.
    Fold in nuts and chocolate pieces.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until delicately browned.
    Cookies should still be soft.
    Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
