Choconut Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (11 1/2 oz.) milk chocolate chips
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    30 vanilla caramels
    3 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. water
    1 c. chopped peanuts
Preparation
    In double boiler, melt shortening and chocolate chips over hot, not boiling, water. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and pour half into an 8-inch foil lined pan.
    Refrigerate until firm (about 15 minutes). Return rest to low heat.
