Bavarian Walnut Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    1 c. finely chopped walnuts (about 4 oz.)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl with electric mixer. Beat in vanilla.
    Using low speed, mix in flour.
    Then add 1/2 cup walnuts.
    With lightly floured hands, shape dough into a roll 2 inches in diameter.
    Roll in remaining walnuts to coat.
    Wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight.
    Slice dough 1/4-inch thick. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Transfer to rack to cool.
    Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
