Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/3 c. milk (knead in flour)
    2 c. apples or cherries
    1 can apples or peaches
    1 stick butter
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
Preparation
    Dissolve 2 cups sugar in 2 cups water.
    Heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Will look like there is too much liquid.
    Some of the liquid from canned fruit can replace part of sugar mixture. Spread 2 cups apples on dough.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Roll and cut in 1/2-inch pieces.
    Melt 1 stick butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.
    Pour sugar mixture on and butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
